Who are the Nechako
Sturgeon?

This population of fish has only a few young sturgeons living in the Nechako .

We, as friends of the Nechako White Sturgeon, are very concerned that almost no young sturgeon are surviving to maintain the population.

Every spring the adult fish go off to the secret places where sturgeon spawn ; and every fall we’re disappointed to find no baby sturgeon eating, hiding and playing among the rocks.  This family of sturgeon has only about 600 members left, in the Nechako River. We need your help to make this family grow.
